I cannot help but wonder what this constant gripe you have with domovois is.

Lol, well, that was meant tongue in cheek, I wouldn't call it a constant gripe, I've only mentioned it once previously, after it was linked to ............ but, since you wonder ........... I hermit, peacefully, lol, I don't want some made up creature living in my house and maybe causing mischief - what is there to like about it?

Even if it helps out, I don't want that either, if I did I'd have villagers, at least with villagers I have the option of getting rid of them if they cause a problem. :D

Cheers!

I prefer to look at it like it would be an interesting mini-game. This random creature appears and you have the option to give it things or use stuff on it and treat it nicely/poorly and perhaps in return you will receive something nice or on the other hand it would run away because you keep trying to pour honey on it. Idk, the inclusion of strange little events like that sounds fun.

Merry Xmas!

So people know, Developers "Few months" means 6-9 months in realtime....

I'm sure the majority of you would find it fun but as I said in an earlier post the reason I enjoy Haven so much is the realism, I'm just not a fan of that type of thing in this type of game. When my char sees a dryad or a troll I have to pretend she has drunk a little too much wine, lol, I know there is other unrealistic content, like fast travel and I don't like that either but, on the whole Haven feels pretty realistic to me and that is what attracts me to it, survival in the wilderness, growth and progression, not spirits, mythology or witchcraft.

Basically it dumbs it down - for me at least, and turns it into something else.

If I can make it leave, then fair enough, I'll have buckets of honey ready to pour over it and my char will have just had a bad nightmare.

amanda, fast travel is easy to explain in a realistic context. ever gone out drinking, got hammered and woke up the next morning like "how the fuck did i get home last night?" that's how fast travel works, that's why we drink wine for tw - hope this helps

Actually it does help, it's just such a shame that my char is an alcoholic.

Items and crafting are what I most love about the game. For example you have one design of leather boots with varying quality, you don't need multiple leather boots which either do the exact same thing with increasing effectiveness or do completely strange things for a pair of boots being explained as magic.
A steel battleaxe is hard to make and hits like a truck, it doesn't have to be magic to be intimidating and awesome.

I would however love to see a system where you choose to, for example, craft boots and pick different materials for the different parts of the boot.
You need material for the sole, stitching and (cover?)
Imagine for the cover you use a troll hide, the boot will display as green so you know that player is using highQ boots that give better protection. If he uses silk the color will be different and the boot might give less protection but more agility.
