They're already considering this.

I thought they meant that they were going to make it a way to get alts without needing to traverse the whole map just to get 1 farmer alt, but with these devs, nobody can be for sure...

wanting to use the matured children as bots (NPCs that do work for you based on what you tell them to do), and you said:

so no, the purpose of bots is to perform drudgery so you don't have to/can do something else while the job is being done for you, which i not the case with PC alts, as you still need to farm on a farming alt. but if its a bot, it works for you. (but yeah, i guess you can say alts are just slaves.)

We already use bots on alts though. If anything that's the main purpose of alts besides key alts. I can't really see a meaningful difference between the two.

Ones a mechanic and one is method which not everyone will be able to use and leads to a lot of butthurt.
A nice bot gui implemented to the game will make it a bit less.. shitty?
Regardless I know it's a terrible idea, just threw it in there for shits. And maybe giggles.

Haven's one of those games that is definitely more fun without bots but is clearly even worse when other people bot. Id rather have gameplay dulled than lose an advantage.

I don't think raising children as alternative character slots is so bad. It would certainly limit alts somewhat. But the dark side is said children then become targets to those who want to limit your ability. And that's a dark area i really don't want in the game.

As for bots...they are to overpowered. If ways can be done to limit their need or use without hurting game fun I am ok with that.

I like Loftar's idea. The magical spawning out of nowhere always bothered my in this game. As for targeting they could treated as items until adulthood, so you would be able to store them in your inventory to prevent attacks in the open (not the case as having them in a crib in your house, for example). Say, using 10 slots to reproduce the fact that you're carrying the child all the time. Also I'm sure this game would be banned in some countries is murder of children is allowed.

I personally like the possibility of being able to create dynasties as in Crusader Kings. Children could be traded with other people ("adopted") and incidentally spread out your family name. And if there are bonuses based on what food you give it (as with animals) and what stats the parents have, they could be valuable trade goods indeed and there would be a market for them.

That doesn't stop alts and bots because anyone would still be able to make another account and a new character there. It just gives an advantage for those who prefer to raise children since they have bonuses.

I'm really enthusiastic about this.

The grow a slot could also be done as a type of plant in a pot we can build and grow. That rare seed thats said to give us good luck when fully grown (like atracting more people aka making a new character slot).

You need two to make a child (mother and father). Lets say: two buddies play HnH(2) together, and need some alts so they don't risk their main's when they go (insert task here). So one plays on a female hearthling, and one a male. They have sexy times in the bed. So if you only get one kid, then who gets the kid as a player character on their account after it grows up? Or is it gonna be a thing where they have to decide who gets it?

And thus, the major factions abused the hell out of this and mass produced Titan Alts :D (Also White skulls)
