To be fair though, the way Salem sounds like it'll worth with civilization and darkness I doubt the first 24 hours will be nearly as critical to finding nodes as it was in haven.

TLDR: Don't worry about nodes as much at least, still be excited over the game.

Honestly though, I'm excited too =<

Nodes like you think of in the Haven sense don't exist.

Wouldnt it be awesome if salem beta being released 2morrow was just an april fools joke?
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

What's the actual client like? Since this is a big time commercial game I'm guessing it's not just some java applet?

Any work on an OSX version? I'd like to try the beta but I don't know much about how compatible the current version is.

Dont worry jorb stated on a forum that if you didnt get emails today they will be letting in another batch of players in next week.
