If you want to play then just play there is no point in waiting, it will come when it's ready and nothing prevents you from enjoying Haven right now, it's up there is people on it and there is always something to do )

Don't let the naysayers get you down bud. Any time is the best time to start.

I hope you don't see me as a naysayer I think like you, i don't want to discourage him and i would love to see fresh spawn players on W7 ( last ones i saw where 3 Koreans IRL friends who install themselves next to me, i gave them stuff to start and was happy to do so, but it was 4-5months ago then a russian come kill them and raid everything we built)
But there is no point in joining the Big stats grindind party anymore, world is too old, better playing for fun and avoid already well established players (imho)

Well, the bright side of spawning in this old world is to know that even in a fresh world you would never compet with the no-lifers/booters and so on.
But in this world were lots have been build and destroyed, you can sneak and grab a lots of high Q seeds and furnitures on abandons place, and easely hide in depleted low level abandon mines.

With no small amount of dedication, you can indeed compete with the top level players in combat stats, because of the nature of the tradition slider and the ability to trump a stat disparity with innovative fighting techniques.

Anybody have a clue on where the server for Haven and Hearth server is located and will the Hafen server be in the same area as well?

It's in Europe. The new server will also be in Europe.

Actually, there is.

The button requires a long, complex sequence of pushes and pulls. The proper finesse must be used. Although there are many valid combinations that may work properly, only a select relative few actually have meaningful results. ;) (Ok, there's not just one button, but about 101... keys.)

Sorry, couldn't resist taking a bit of poetic license with that statement.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

Sound thanks for that i may just do this then.

World 7 Haven & Hearth is planned to run concurrently with Hafen until either A) The game corrupts beyond use/repair or B) Hafen gets so far along in its development that it completely and utterly trumps Haven in every way. The latter won't be happening for quite some time just because content takes time to create. There isn't a make button that you can press that develops game worlds.

So the real risk that you're looking to deal with is the server exploding. At the moment there is no data corruption in the server and everything looks stable enough. Unless someone finds an exploit that can utterly destroy the server or that warrants taking the server down, you should have quite some time with Haven to go. Barring special circumstances, the honest answer is that World 7 is probably going to survive for many more months if not another year or two (or three?).

As for the release of Hafen getting in your way -- well, your guess is as good as ours. The devs will start letting us know when they're getting ready to release the world. Until then all we can do is cross our fingers and hold our breaths. I'd volley the guess that, at most, we have months of development time left at most. Then again

Thank you very much this is SOUND advice.

i have not been playing for quite some time but alas i see i have kept my 100au 100mksmn character and so have decided upon the fantastic response that i shal indeed continue to play Haven W7

If anyone is interested as to where i came from in the world i can safely say that we created Riverwood Central at the very start of W7. it was an immensly fun time at the beginning of the game and took our invaders almost four months to destroy us, this was implemented by an absoloute idiot player by the many.many ... Many names he took (due to so much death on his part) who unfortunately took the offerings we gave him of land next to ours village materials mines and tools and used them to attempt a coo..
he did get a lot of payers on our\\\his side at the time nearly 15 in total (no joke he really did)

Thankfully Mord. (Gunnar) at the time saw straight through this guy and let us in on the secret,.

We stupidly gave said idiot a second chance and moved him to the Later much teary Helms Deep.
see topic
viewtopic.php?f=34&t=34526&hilit=balls+deep+in+helms+deep

so after a second raid and invasion of his much larger base Helms deep we at riverwood central decided to collect some of our things from the ruins.

Bad idea the raiders were in full force at time of teleport and we fell right into the trap.

Caught in the crossfire my friends and i decided to take what was left f our beloved starting village and recluse to the far reaches of the world, Alas, called Solitude we rebuilt and retuned our characters to fit our new needs of security and solace,, indeed in time we becae=me bored of the grind and left for a few months to attend other things (Salem)
upon returning to the village which we created and left in the capable hands of one Katan or Mastercheif or whatever his name was by then, we were faced with the inevitable coo that said idiot had devised all those months ago,.

Wilson the second was murdered in cold blood and Longshanks (who later became F***ing C**t) managed to escape unscathed (keeping all of his glorious (Not so glorious nowadays) merchant robes rings and q69 monocle)

And so it falls to the now, i am returning with my character to attempt some fun filled village antics, mining, farming and eating like sheep. (they do still gobble stupidly right) or did i miss that update?.,.

Anyways thought since i had such a nice reply i would tell my story and relive some tears with you guys (jordan)

Peace and Light
Longshanks:

ps: the next haven looks absoloutely gorgeous and shiney.
i can not wait until it is released.

Pps: if 300Stalker is still around and playing contact me dude you were an asset to our village it is a shame that the leader was such a dick and betrayal artist.

Ppss. Katan Mastercheif Masternoob Bryce, whatever your known as nowadays.,
i see you you die
not for killing off my village, for murdering Wilson my mate
