How did you do that since the server has been shut down for the last hour or so?

Try again. The server has not been down for an hour. And I still played 30min -> |server shutdown|

Now I was thinking about this before as one possibility and everyone was insisting about how it isn't a hardware problem. So I didn't mention it. Granted I know Loftar knows more about his system and software than anyone. However, I know that disk drives will do a massive amount of heroics to recover data. At least I have heard of this issue at the storage company I work at. Granted its been a while so maybe newer drives are better at reporting they are sick. So Hard drives that are having media problems may sit there and do a bunch of time doing re-tries and you may not even know about it. Now I not sure if Linux is better about reporting this or loftar is a pro at knowing if there is flaky drive or not. However it would make sense that it could be possible that a flaky drive was causing a lot of slow down of drive I/O commands that wouldn't be apparent because the drive was taking a long time trying to recover on the media. I be most interested to see what happens to the lag after the drive is replaced and recovered.

I keep my fingers crossed for this point. :)

I must admit that the lag allowed only the most dedicated to play.

If it's fixed, soon there will be noobs boating around...

Although I do like to scare them away :<

I know the system message said a few hours, but I was just wondering if we could get a better idea of when we might be able to get back to gameplay? When the server shut down, a colleague and I were tracking scents . . . :D

Things often tend to take a different turn than imagined, so gonna prepare for w7 just in case...although we're far along enough that the end-world massacres would be awesome :) Loved the w3 end days :D

No, seriously, do not discuss nonexistent resets. It only stirs up trouble.

Please.

My comment was in regard to the OP.

Shoulda woulda coulda...happened before, that's why I said better to prepare ;)

Anyways, hopefully the lag will clear up, thanks for the effort.
