I can't seem to be able to place lifted items with shift-right- click any more in the standard client, which makes placing cupboards and chests neatlty a PITA. Other than that, a great update, especially for new players.

Although I assume I will soon have nabs knocking on the gates of my super secret Fortress of Doom deep in the heart of Mordor. I must prepare a welcome...

Also noticed. If this is some realism-loaded ninja-nerf, sliding cupboards and chests along the ground to line them up is also a realistic scenario, but I'm really hoping it's just a bug.

Post of the year.

Sry let me eloborate. Players now are further away from ppl so now they cant ask WTF do i do now?!? And you wanna remove the RoB button eventually so where will we trade?
My motions are swift as a eagle, on my worst day I am still Lethal. No challenge, only start me when you learn the ripples of a butterflies heartbeat.

I think the goal is just the emergent behavior. That is, people will trade wherever they will. Or won't.

pheww

am i the only one whos not sooo sure about the consequences? i absolutely like the direction this is going. just trying to think from the eyes of a newb.
so i start in the middle of nowhere, with loads of trees and stuff (very good!) and a bear punches be down at first sight. and it stays next to my knocked out body, reaggroing as soon as i wake up again? in the worst case i imagine myself dead after a couple of knockouts (??)

hmm other than this, i dont see so many negative sideeffects, only positive ones.

I am a bit confused tho. Isn't part of the idea of this game that humans are alone in the wilderness, slowly carrying the candle of civilisation into the savage darkness? Newbies starting _anywhere_ seems very odd to me in this respect. I think random location gens for newbs should be restricted to low lvl civilised areas. I know only bears are aggro now, which I think is mostly a good thing. However do we want people loading in some woodland somewhere a gazillion miles away from anybody, considering that the world is supposed to, theoretically at least, be infinitely extendable?

1 more negative side effect is, its gonna be a PITA to farm and make food IMO. (especially for wheat to make flour which is the base for almost all(?) baked food, unless you're lucky and found some wild wheat) The player will be spawn in the middle of nowhere, and possibly unable to fast travel to brodgar to trade for seed ( but soon there will be no brodgar anyway).

Plus most of mordor is pine tree forest, I think ( I created 6 new char, and all 6 started in a pine tree forest ), and there will be no apple tree to feed on. But I guess that's the price you gotta pay for not choosing to start at a charter stone. Hardcore survival mode. Give the player who choose to start in mordor some seed >.<

Further more, I'm worried about the hearthfire of those player who just log in for a few mins and never to play again. Theres gonna be plenty of hearthfire scattered around mordor and it will bring down the animal lvl quite alot IMO, and you cant remove them. Unless you guys are planning to delete animal lvl soon.

Read before posting.

Hearth fires are now liftable, which means a determined individual might remove them and put them in Brodgar or something.

Also, there are plenty of wild seeds out of the main grid. Even if you are in level 1 territory like me.

Also back at ya, Read before posting,
you will leave theft scent by picking up other people hearth.

Yeah there are all kinds of wild seeds, but I'm talking about wheat. Like I said, unless you're lucky, you might need to travel miles before even finding one, or maybe not at all.
