Nice to see things are about to get back up and running, I hope I'm able to get on soon enough to survive my ant hill raid

Ah, that's actually a different kind of nuke; those were caused by me shutting down the server in the middle of maploading, when the tiles of that area had been loaded, but not the objects, causing only the loaded parts of that map to be saved.

These files are gone completely, so they'll behave the same as those other parts of the map that missing. The areas the world, that is.

Fuck. There goes my idea of a 1000x1000 area farm/village. :v

What will happen to the unaffected cave tiles directly underneath the nuked surface?

What happens if you build a minehole on the surface directly over a nuked underground area?

Server divides by zero and we all die.

Yeah, if you look at the map's grid you can see that simply shifting it slightly to the south east then aligns it with the ingame supergrids. So it's just off a tiny bit. Hopefully enough to save my port area at least.

so if someone had a village under a overground nuked part, he could build a vault that would be nearly impossible to reach?

No? Why would you think this. Explain your reasoning.

His reasoning being that you couldn't minehole in anywhere near it, and that they could have multilayer'd brickwall goodness. Though, it doesn't make em untouchable, or anywhere near that.
