Server issues: New server

I'm just stating the time its been down every 2-4 hours but ya this is taking forever for them to get the server back up

Wise and knowledgeable borka, I wish to ask a question.

I'm a noob player (started Oct. 18th) and I notice the server lags quite often and lags pretty hard. Does this happen normally? If so, would the server being down fix the problems when it's back up?

Lag is an issue we all encounter and i don't think it gets less with srv restart

bring back old players >higher playerbase>more lag

i genuinely think it's a terrible misconception to make that making a new world will rid the serve of lag, it's been said already that the lag is caused quite simply by the server not being on a great connection, so unless they fixed that, it's a combination of that and the recent heightened playerbase

we never know... which is i believe why so many people whine every time the server goes down, there's never any official word, which is all anyone really wants, not forum vets saying "it happens all the time, just be patient"

Is the server down right now? I was playing last night when it froze and I couldn't connect back. I waited a couple of hours and the server was still down, so I went to sleep.
I just woke up and it's STILL down! What the fuckkkkk?
