No, but the current mails are ONLY for these people with 3 refferals.
When the close beta starts, these people will get an invite mail with instructions how to download and play, AND random people (which had not 3 refferals) will be selected to get into beta.

I got 4 friends (for certain, some others I'm not sure about) who signed up with my link, and 3 was the required amount (if I'm correct). Should I have got the acceptance to beta email yet? They all signed up yesterday :L

First wave of beta accounts are already filled. You'll have to wait until they start sending them, again. Sorry. May or may not be a long period of time.

Some people have reported hiccups in the system and that they received a confirmation email after they tried reregistering the same account. You could try that? Not sure how credible these reports are.

Looks like they found the problem:

I have dug into the events that has been taking place so far and I think I have found the reason why people had 3 friends signing up using the correct URL and still the referring person did not receive an invite.

What needs to happen to have the guaranteed spot: You need to have 3 friends signing up using the URL provided by you (duh). Where it falls apart however is that these friends also needs to confirm their email addresses! The cases I have looked at this is where it failed. One or more friends did not check their email (or had it filtered out as spam perhaps?) and didn't click the link mailed to them. This step was necessary for the recruiter to get the auto invite.
