As in this is all conjecture until JLo tells us otherwise.
Since we're coming up with theories, is it possible that the server is being used to host the Salem alpha? I don't know squat about the alpha, and even less about servers, but I seem to recall hearing that the devs only have one at their disposal. Just thinking out loud... flame away.

I highly doubt the server is being used to host the salem alpha. Jorb and loftar don't have to pay for the server for the salem alpha..i assume paradox will.
