on to my real point, if the server is having a hard time with the heavy read/write and may be crashing the drives, you might wanna try looking into getting SSD (solid state drive) that is unless you are already using them. Using ssd is costly but it will greatly cut down on latency (accessing, reading and sending data) and read/write time as well as many other issues since its faster with no moving parts to fail and precision writing errors causing bad sectors to form in the platter HDD over time with data not being written correctly or missed all together.

I would also like to add that using a raid system is probably one of your more stable options even though it might be more complicated and a little slower for data accessing. however I am sure you know that.

Food for thought tell me what you think.

hate to say it but the whole ssd v hdd was sort of covered from page 12/13 of the topic could have been a few pages before that even i don't remember exactly where

The server probably needs more RAM, not SSD. I wonder what are reasons it has not been done already. Is it only about money ?

Actually i think they need more ethernets. Lots more ethernets. Only you can help them obtain more ethernets.

I think loftar needs the AMD Fix; MOAR CORES! Only more cores could fix it. Plus, I don't think there server has enough zif connectors. Something's not zifd right.

I hope Loftar installed a 16 core with a 10 meg pipe.

guess neither the AMD - Fix would help with an Intel CPU nor more zero injection force sockets can be implanted ... ;)
