For anyone too lazy to look it up.

If it is that people don't tend know this phrase, the common connotation is, more precisely, "changing only that which is being discussed", as in "a computer with a faster CPU is, mutatis mutandis, better", understanding then for instance that "a computer with a faster CPU might on the other hand have less memory which makes it overall worse, but that's not what we're talking about here".

With that in place, then, I think we can safely establish that a game with better graphics is, mutatis mutandis, better.

I had a different interpretation, but I got a degree in biology so my understanding of Latin tends to be more functional. I prefer that explanation to my own though :P

It's worth considering to the doubters about graphics: To what degree does better graphics eat development time on non-graphical things? For most game dev teams these resources don't tend to overlap much. Not sure how it works out for haven but I assume it's similar.
Lucky: haven is so quirky

Since they have the orginal Haven and Hearth code, they have the Salem code or know enough of it to pluck and chunk the graphics from one to the other. Then those parts of Haven you want to keep you put into the Salem code. Run it till you get those bugs worked out. Then you have alot of time left over to fix or rework a dozen different aspects of the game. Plus you have the data load info from Salem, so you can setup the system to reflect that plus XX%. Thats my idea on how they can rework the graphics but still know how the server and pipeline can handel it. Of course this is my swag.

Cool.

thanks mr loftorb

Also seeing as this seems to be an extension or as it was put progression of the earlier game to this should we expect the same sort of skill progress, combat and other things like mining, tree planting, smelting and item quality formulas to be the same? Or will things be tweaked a bit seeing s there are now more tools(?) available to ye.
