Or FEPs could be doubled. It doesn't take as long to gain stats and you don't have to eat all the time.

i'd prefer increasing fep to decreasing hunger any further, i think.

I don't have a problem with current hunger or no hunger at all as long as there is a way to gain stats.

Ever pause to consider that this is the solution to that? especially if food gave more FEP to reflect the old rates

IMHO the better solution would be to simply make food more filling, so that three or four loaves of bread can take you from 0% to 100% hunger. This leaves room for foods that fill next to zero hunger but give decent FEPs. Of course, acquiring food should be harder, but more rewarding when you manage to do it. Some of the best fun I've had in URW was killing a stag when I was on the brink of death from starvation. Farming doesn't work well with that kind of gameplay, though.

Anyway, my point is that it shouldn't be so god damn easy to make weeks worth of supplies. After two harvests, I have no clue what to do, so I'm not playing. Sure, I could go pave the world, or build pointless cabins or something. But the thing is that I *like* farming, and I like doing stuff that's actually useful, and heavy-duty farming is pretty much pointless right now.

I agree with Potjeh here, making normal food fill you up a lot and delicacies just a bit sounds fair.
The minimum solution would be to keep this hunger drain (5x reduction) and have the base fep 5x that of the original values.

Nah, you'd still be overproducing food. You also need to make food harder to get, to keep the current pace of stat gain. You can keep stuff like bread easy to make, though, to keep it easy to stay well fed.

Why? You are clicking less than with the original values but you still get hungry quickly, requiring you to eat mid-job just as often. I'd rather hunger deplete slowly, even if I had to accept less filling food. I'd rather make fifteen clicks to get full and then not have to worry about it for a good while, versus eating four loaves and then having to eat four loaves and then having to eat four loaves, etc.

I think 5x or 3.5x with a boost to FEPs would be good. Then the food supply issue could be fixed separately.

Lunchbox item with inventory, interaction with it eats one piece of food starting with top left. Easier than rebalancing labour requirements for food production.
