The only question is... How long?

And is it really necessary for Haven and Salem to resort to Java (client sided)? I know that the server is based on C.

Because the use of 'downloading' a java runtime to even run the game seems a bit annoying.

Maybe there's a HTML5 or some other way to launch a client than java.

painhertz being banned doesnt really prove to be a bad forum nor to have a bad moderator.
to be fair, Letar is actually a real nice one and i only feel sorry for him to have had to deal with pain.

paradox has a set of rules they want followed and he does a great job at modding. With the people this game brings you can't say nearly half the shit that goes down on here. For example you fighting with dis people would prolly get your post removed and they would give out infractions.

Only thing i didn't like about Letar was him passing the job of actually punishing people to other mods, unless only certain people can give out infractions.

More like the decision to make Salem was the worst decision a drunk guy could ever made, in that they agreed to do it for Paradox, and yet get bad support, and fugly 3D engine when it's best played in 2D isometric...

Salem actually would be better with some other publisher other than Paradox, because the 'successful' releases consists of games developed by actual studios... And Paradox doesn't exactly support developers with professionals or other form of support... Because it costs them more money to hire them.

Wish more developers out there try to show Paradox and Salem who's boss by creating their own brand of survival mmo (or online multiplayer) based permadeath rpg.
It's a very empty industry.

Remember kids, if a publisher wants to 'buy' your game idea and get you making it under a contract, do your research as to why they bothered to talk to you in the first place... Otherwise you will end up tying your hands for the next 3 years on said game.
