Announcements about major changes in Haven & Hearth.

Jagex (makers of Runescape) have done something similar to bot-makers in the past. They've succesfully sued them and taken down a few websites.
There are still tons of bots running around there, but they've succesfully tried to annihilate some of them (including the makers).
Hope you have a great day

Basically, in haven you bot mostly for your own stuff. In runescape you sell bots or sell gold or something. And if loftar and jorb would REALLY be against bots, why theres plenty of guides/scripts/clients on this forum

Na man, JLo don't like the bots but they also know they can't enforce removal of bots with the game as it is in its current state. Since World 4 they've been working to reduce player reliance on and usefulness of bots.

Not to brag (and I know it isn't perfect), but if anything I think Haven has a fairly good track record for being left almost entirely without maintenance for like 4 years. I reckon many another game would be completely devastated at that point.

And that can be seen...

No doubt. In all the times I've come back to play/played. I've never actually had anything not work. I guess there are the tanning tub bugs that haven't been fixed but I am sure no one is going to complain about that :p.

I had a question for you loftar/jorb. What made you guys decide on 8 (realtime) hours equaling 1 in game day(24 hour period). I struggled for a long time to come up with what I thought would be the right timescale for this game im working on. I came up with 4 real time hours = in game 24 hours.

Hey actually I see you guys posting logs of chats.

When is it I can find you guys on one of those chats? I have a bunch of questions I'd like to ask and I probably shouldn't spam the orum pages with them :p

@Tonyhonk It's true I don't spend much time on the forums and never really have :P I don't enjoy getting into pointless arguments and having to deal with dickish behaviour. Sometimes I respond harshly and I don't like being like that.

That's why you enter the room like "here i am" and as it's never been filled before and none of what has been discussed before (sometimes over and over) had happened - that's kind of dickish (ignorant) behaviour - funny enough you can step back in time and read about most arguments exchanged before in your case (search function) ... you've been getting into pointless arguing and we had to deal with that. If you don't like being like that it's up to you to think about not acting like that. :)

And a special hint: never do the "i got a friend who's at a big company i can ask him to look into your stuff" at game devs forums (btw. a good friend of mine is brain surgeon ... ;) )

Good luck with your game - looking forward to get my hands on it ...

Yep sure did enter the room and start talking. That's what forums are for. You didn't have to deal with fuck all bud. Just read on. I was right and it is possible to beat the hackers. I wasn't arguing, being aggressive or anything of the sort.

I do have more than one friend who work for EA.

EA isn't interested in cool games like this, as anyone can probably tell by now... Last ever purchase I made from them was B4 and it will be the very last.

As for the search function I have used it many times, sometimes it is simply easier to just ask and wait for a reply. It's easy for people to just ignore it if it bothers them, that's what the scroll wheel is for, and the next button.

The reason I stay off of forums is because of douchebags and trolls.

So I guess I'll just not come back to the forums. People can't converse without being condescending like prissy bitch women than I will not bother.

Well, if you do actually make a game, definitely get someone else to be the face of it. That behavior is going to shoot you in the foot.

YarPirate, how old are you? You sound very young.

If you are spouting this nonsense past high school, well, how embarrassing!
