Having stamina be directly (and intensely) connected to item consumption in a sandbox world manipulation item crafting building game was probably the stupidest decision anyone could ever make. I love not being able to build stuff because I've got to stop and eat some more. That's some exceptional and engaging gameplay right there.

Once you get past something like 20 Phlegm you rarely have to stop doing anything. Try harder.

Yes make the early game a miserable experience. That's surely a great way to increase your playerbase.

Are you implying that early game in Haven is a "miserable experience," because one could easily make the argument that statement is incorrect.

Also inb4 Painhertz will be bashing the game along with everyone else soon enough. Actually, I'm probably not the only one who noticed his opinions flip-flop more than a fish out of water.

H&H early game consisted of grinding trivial shit (wicker baskets, campfires and apple trees) because the devs were too goddamned stubborn to introduce new players to the game with a variety of interesting abilities at their command. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Earlier in the year Salem wouldn't even let you pick branches off trees until you ground out one of its starter skills.

But this may have been before your time.
