You, boy, are no one of consequence. I have no interest in either you or your signature. Go shoot yourself in the face. Please.

Development on Haven has continued, continues and will continue as per usual, although with the less than weekly updates that you have witnessed for the past four months or so. As soon as Salem is released, we intend to bring the development of Haven back up to normal speed.

Still not another word on when Salem will be "open beta" or released, or even what the devs are working on now (besides "content"). They said at the beginning of November that it would go open in early December, and we haven't heard shit about it since. They just released an update yesterday, but no info about what they're doing.

Jorbtar was assassinated by russian sleeper agents and have now been replaced with lookalikes incapable of communicating the english language. Woe and behold we're all doomed, yada yada.

gentlemen, i am holding you to this and going on good faith that you mean this..remember that salem was built on the success of haven&hearth, and remember, jorb, that as you yourself said, "Salem is not Haven." absolutely. i logged on to one of my characters just now for the first time in about 2 months or so, and it took me about 10 seconds to remember why i'm not playing h&h anymore :(

h&h has the potential to be one of the greatest games ever..many people here will feel that it already is, or already could be. don't let it die

edit: has anyone else here noticed that havenandhearth.ru went down (expired domain license)

jorb, loftar: i've been playing h&h for over three years now, on and off, mostly on, and i can tell many stories of wondrous cities being built, fantastic battles, and hilarious moments with the dozens of online friends i've made in this game. this really is one of the best games ever made imo and i'm sure many people will agree with me. it genuinely makes me sad to see h&h in such bad shape.

in these three years of playing, this will be my 800th post on this forum. that's not very high compared to many people - thus i like to think for the most part i don't post nonsense or idle chatter on these forums (digging through my post history may suggest otherwise but i suppose that becomes a matter of opinion)

so, along with many others, i am wondering what exactly is going to happen to this game. we've been told that h&h goes on the back burner for salem, and we understand, but h&h has been sitting there for a while now and it's kind of starting to smell a bit...

i'm curious if you guys have given any real thought to setting up a payment model for h&h - i can't speak for anyone else on this forum. but i would pay a reasonable subscription fee for h&h with no lag and active development prioritizing bug fixes and responses to emergent gameplay.

one such emergent gameplay issue that really needs to be addressed: alts.

perhaps a subscription model would serve to reduce the number of alts a person can reasonably use. let's see if we can make this simple? 5 or 10 bucks a month to play unlimited haven on your first character. if you want an alt, it's a one time fee, say another $5. if you pay the regular monthly fee, you can play both characters anytime, as is currently. if your alt dies it's another $5 to reincarnate or make another.

wanna crash a clay node or tear up a noob town? that'll be $5 to make a vandalism/combat alt.

or you can use your main :)

what do we think?
