2D Isometric is perfect for haven and hearth.. It allows people to make things look truly brilliant.. such as Amanda44's vilalge or pixel arts of pikachu :D

It's cuz I saw the melsonia logo and the haven map, reminded me of the angel wings you're working on, what's the progress with them btw?

Lol, none.

After the raid I lost heart and quit, it wasn't just the destruction of something I valued and the death of my beloved chickens, although those were the main factors, it was also the lag - I don't have that much time or patience.

WARNING - Incoming Salem rant -

However, Salem, which i've been playing on and off since August, is quite frankly dead boring and doesn't hold my interest enough to play it full time. In small doses it's a bit of fun but not a patch on HnH. The raid system offers no protection to newer players and the summoning system is a joke. Unlike Haven, Salem is not in any way hermit friendly. On top of all that, in order to own your own claim it will cost you in-game silver, this is an on going outlay as you have to maintain it to keep your claim active. If you are not prepared to spend rl money, which i'm not on such an imbalanced format, you have to earn it in-game, whilst this is not too difficult, it is time consuming. About 75% of my time is spent either making things to sell to the npc's for a pittance or foraging to make things to trade and this is where the boredom comes into play. Unless you are part of a larger group it's pratically impossible to build, defend and maintain a village on the scale I have here.
(Tbh, it makes me really worried about the plans for Havens revamp if and when the devs do return, if they turn it into Salem mk2 it will be ruined beyond recognition and that will leave us with nothing.)

Rant over.

I miss my home :( .

Consequently i'm probably returning, even if just to finish off the village - which is why I haven't posted the mini-map shot.
Since I left though there has been a bit more destruction, it's not too serious and can be fixed but I need help to sort it out. I'm just waiting on a response from a friend and then hopefully i'll be back next week.

@ Said friend, if you see this please log on, i've left you a msg. :)

P.s. OwolfboyO - i'm going to shorten that to 'wolf' in future, lol, was it you that complained about our forum here? I'm pretty certain it was, let me tell you, this forum is like a choir of angels compared to the Salem forums! It's a harsh world over there, we have a couple of snarling dogs, they have packs of them!

If haven turns into Salem I'd just leave Seatribe games all together.
This new war totem business is nice, but why can't we just have fucking rams/cannons and new walls? Just a bunch of new added bs

@Amanda44 Yeh I've heard Salem' community is worse and better than Haven. I took a break from haven, pretty much half of world 6 because my own solo village I had got raided, when I came back I guess I wasn't used to the community, I realise now there are trolls.. but there are a lot of good people here, not one of them I want to go to Salem. I think (hope) when jorbtar comes back, if they want the community back, they should concentrate on three things,
1.Lag
2.Bug-ramming
3.Statue walling (maybe make it so statues/banners need to be placed further away from eachother, can't be placed next to)

EDIT: Sorry I didn't post as much as you. :D

Exactly! Aside from bugs the ram and b/wall system we have here works fine, a hermit is fully capable of defending their village in a relatively short amount of time and with proper planning, without the need for layer upon layer of walls and then the added and expensive braziers.
I see Salem as being more like a war game, it suits big factions building big towns and then laying siege against each other. Peacefull farmers and lone hermits - when it comes to raiders, not a hope in hell!
