Salem you can't live alone.. I've tried, it just doesnt work. you come back one day and all your sh*t's gone. In Haven being a hermit is easy! but if you wanna make abrickwall you can either trade the wrought iron, make an alt miner :D

Development on Haven has continued, continues and will continue as per usual, although with the less than weekly updates that you have witnessed for the past four months or so. As soon as Salem is released, we intend to bring the development of Haven back up to normal speed.

because many haven players said the current haven defense system (excluding bugs ofc) is broken and asked for siege business and devs are experimenting new ideas on salem now. quite simple.

at the end of w3, many asked for smaller worlds. devs made it 5x5 again and many complained, some still complain.

since when, heh forever, many asked for some siege mechanics in haven. devs put this new system in salem and you complain instead of giving constructive feedback.

the same old story.

Their siege mechanics will always be broken.

WoW, people actually wanted smaller worlds? One of the things I loved bout W3 is that there was land not explored/touched prolly to it's last day.

now you can't go 5 minutes without seeing somebody's handiwork.

I, for one, hope the worlds are increased if/when W7

To be fair with regard to your last statement, there are multiple threads on the Salem forum dealing with the new siege mechanics, all have people, including Jordan, offering constructive critism, so much so that Jorbtar altered their original plans over the space of a wkend.

However, aside from that, I am genuinely interested in what Haven players think is 'broken' about the ram/brickwall system we have here - obviously excluding bugs. I've either arrived after these discussions or missed them due to being a peaceful hermit. :)

Now though, i've been here long enough to be a lot more aware of the pvp aspect, including attack and defence systems and i'd like to know how established players feel about them and what they think is wrong with the current system.

Incidently, i'm all for siege mechanics, they just have to be viable for hermits/peaceful players and smaller villages as well as for the larger factions. This is not the case on Salem.

Edit: Or link me, if no-one wants to go through it again. :)

just go thru the several major "successful" raids that had happened in the last few worlds and you should be able to easily find what the issue is.

Ok, thank you. :)

And, yes, that was a bit unfair of me, lol, I guess I was hoping some people would have more patience. :P

I'll tell you if I find any discussions on it, so far i've only found discussions with regard to bugs and a couple that say the ram/brickwall system is 'gay' -
I've only just started looking though and for the reasons already highlighted, lol, not for long.

Maybe you could help me out and look through some threads too. :)
