wait, i thought the server started doing all the map saves ages ago, doesn't that usually signal that it's coming back up pretty sharpish? i smell bad things, or ignorance on my part, possibly both

just got that lovely little notification in the corner of my screen "the server is now up"

yay, but also, damn, foiled again by reliable HDD
