I think the size was fine, even as big as it was people had a hard time getting a mine and with world 4 the player base will probably double.. until they get killed off by the macroers, then haven and hearth will be back to normalcy with macroers ruling the world.

That's a "feature" of the game, as i see it. There are quite a sum of people that do enjoy freelancing, running in the wild, having a small camp, far far away from any form of "civilization". Making a small map, will just wipe all of these people's desires, forcing them to actually join a village in order to survive, since everything would have already been claimed by villages and people that work together.
Being a real lone rider should be an option.

+1

Lets not turn H&H into tokio subway on rush hour

This is me! I started with a couple of friends and we made our own little compound out in the middle of nowhere. I'm really excited for w4, it'll give me a chance to do things way better than the first time around since I have a much better grasp of the game's systems. Maybe I'll eventually join a village or something too. New world, new approaches.

Does our characters also get deleted, or only whiped?

Would like to keep my current name, alltough it would be fun to go on massive nick-stealing spree too.
