Is there any chance that the reset will include a reversion to the old combat system?

Hows about this one:
"Break down the doors, let the streets run red
Tramp down the race into the crawling slime
Then, where red chaos lifts her serpent head,
The fiend be praised, we will pen the perfect game."
AHEM
"Pen the perfect rime."

"couple" means two. It is very specific. That it is ever used to mean anything else is a misnomer. IF anything it is more similar to 'pair' than 'two' because it has an intrinsic denotation of joining even though its use often discards such connotations.

technically yes, but not as its commonly used

I'm guessing this might be some sort of a regional dialect thing. I'm from mid-atlantic US, and I have no problem understanding "a couple of" (usually pronounced more like "acuppulla" :P) to mean "definitely more than one, maybe not two, but i really don't care enough to be precise and say 'two'". My british bro-in-law very, very rarely if ever uses the word "couple" at all, let alone in an ambiguous way like we're talking about.

Guess it all depends on where you're from or who you learned english from if not a native speaker.

and how godawfully horrible would it be if this whole "the end is nigh" thing is just a trick by the devs to see how we all respond? I would be quite amused... and quite angry....

Well, I finally got around to finding a lvl X bear. I could not get its def low enough to hurt it, and even when I had full def it did around 30 damage to me in a single hit. I did not want to figure out the total dmg it can do if I have no def at all

Just let it attack me with no def and its attack was almost full... same dmg. I thought it would scale like ours does

plate armor 588/294
leather pants 84/84
leather boots 0/69

Armour is pretty much useless against animals. And they're a lot of tougher. I can't beat a IX boar with 100 unarmed, though I do come *this* close to it.

with basically 200 UA, I used to be able to beat X bears without a problem. Now I am losing to IIX bears. That wouldnt be so much of a problem if it werent for the fact that my newbie alt is killing IX bears with 20 MM. That is a staggering difference.
