I'm a nature specialist, and I condone this.

Oh man, I caught four breeding pairs (took me three hours), put them in a container and then the server crashed. I bet I lost them all :(

so a cocoon is destroyed if you use it for silk?
The ones who see things differently.

You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them.
And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius.

Answering some questions.

A male and a female moth will turn into ~10 eggs, with some variance.

Each egg hatches one silkworm.

Just tossing it in, but the industry/nature slider doesn't affect silk-making.
Edit: Nevermind, missed the weaving part.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

Should silk production be helped by high industry, or by high nature? The answer is far from obvious. :)

Since the process, unlike bloom to wrought iron, is guaranteed to produce silk as an end result, I feel that the extra filaments help quite enough.

Any notes on how easy it is to destroy a kiln or cart, or how much easier it is to destroy a cart versus a kiln? Just wondering about the usefulness of cartgates at this point, or if I should make a hermetic seal around my vault and spawn at the RoB. :P
i guess they never miss huh
