I have strongly considered something like this.

you ever played Spore? somthing linear may happen that way, good way for people to meet up early and it would be up to them to make freinds or foes.. or even walk the line to pure solitude.. till ppl start spawning around your hermitage

By the by. Teleportation only along formal roads. No hearth secrets. Random wilderness spawns only.

Correct. We think that that plus the increased difficulty in arbitrarily creating alts at a given location is going to be beneficial for the game's environment. Our perspective would be to approach it as a single-player game first and foremost.

Hearth secrets, spawning at heart fires and tp to hearth are too convenient to do away with, it's just oathing/tp to village that is really abusable and should go imo
Edit: jorb I know you don't care but idk how I feel about this; community is the heart of this game, it was never meant to be a single player experience...

There's nothing to prevent communities from growing. You'll just have to meet people ingame. :)

I would be ok with no spawning at people spots, but the ability to add people and then travel to them would be nice. Not being able to find the people to do trust would suck.

I am ok with random spawns, just I would miss the ability to chat with and find people I know.

But knowing your alt might apear across the map and then haft to travel to your camp, even if you can find it. Adds a bit on an exprence (and stops hoards of alting).
