A fair compromise I'd say though would be making it smaller, but having the designated area you spawn in to be much larger this time.

well at least one of you has more sense than god gave a squirrel

It seems clear you guys don't have to search for level X animals. Villages are everywhere. Unless we can get some village-less wilderness (ie, idols not buildable in some grids) then I say the bigger the better.

You would be wrong. This is all I did before and after the sling nerf, but more-so before. Even with the world in its current state, finding X level animals was no harder than walking about 5 minutes in most any direction for me at least. And yes I was located in the central grids so don't even try to use that as an excuse.

This map was too big, and even the added expansion made no sense. Do you know why all these villages got as strong as they did? Lack of contact. The fact that in the beginning, the world was so big that any village easily wandered off, and found "their" spot and was able to build and advance without interference from other people. Everyone was doing the same thing. No one really fought over resource spots or mines, because they were everywhere.

A smaller world is ideal for a short server. And even if it does end up online for longer than what most people think, oh well. This world was too big. If someone is willing to give me good reasons as to why lack of contact and 12 hour trips just to get to another village are a good thing, then please be my guest and convince me of this.

Yep Kaios fuck me - if the the worlds too big for you just stay in an area. Where's your problem when people want room to move and explore? And that needs a big world...

Edit: explore as Adventurer not going to be a big (LP) farmer :? I do have my fun in that - had the possibility to join a nice community with a nice farm but nope i wandered around, settled a short time in a little base and discovered how to do stuff in the game...so why shouldn't there be some kinda Stalker feeling (with exclusion of monsters) too

But with your arguments about growth and distance you're shure not wrong!

Does it? Moving is one thing and I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to do this, but explore what exactly? Walk for hours staring at the same old images of trees and rivers? I honestly don't understand what people mean when they say they love to explore. There is nothing special to find.

If there was something out there other than resource spots or mines, then yeah, go nuts. However there is not, no one is ever exploring. You are always searching for something, and in a big or small world there is no difference to this action other than your chances of finding either a resource spot or mine increase in a small world. Of course this sometimes may only be for a short period.

Either way, this narrow minded view that some people seem to have that you are safe just because you run out to the middle of no-where and hide just doesn't make sense. All it takes is one person to find you and screw you over. Since you're out there in the first place, it's also rather evident you didn't plan on raising any combat skills, at least not right away. Maybe in a smaller world you will wise up and realize that your own protection and the protection of people you are living with is most important. Regardless of location.

I would just like to say.. A.D. have ruined all aspects of gameplay. They make the grind aspect of the game so obvious, it seems like it will be no fun if they exist again. Ever since the russians joined in world 2, the game has just declined. I don't know if I will play this game again, who knows how long it will be until major changes are introduced? Do I really want to waste my time building it all up again to be told that a new world will begin in less than a day!? Would it really be that hard to roll back a couple of weeks loftar?

Great first announcement of 2011.

Uh, you posted the same pic 3 times, so i can't give you too much credit. Plus, beaver sucks. ALSO Beaver fever, the rage about this douchey kid, is a condition, which i believe requires penicillin to cure...
