chopping down trees and hunting was my way of lp farming last world, my opinion is that u made too many changes in world 4, i can defiantly understand changing the amount of lp u get from trees but im pissed cuz i just died by a single hit from a boar... please make some more changes because i really like this game but you have made too many changes

Honestly, I'm kinda sick of this all, I don't mind boars, and bears and all this. Thier the same animals, with a few new abilities. What I would like is to know is how to trap or fight one of these animals. Boars can kill, and all that. But I don't care. The easiest way to appease everyone who is so jaded by animals is to teach them how to fight.

So to all that read this section of the forum, I submit a challenge.

Build a better boar trap.

Frankly, i think this world is even more unbalanced in terms of lp gains between farmers and hunters. It's true that you risk being killed if you encounter a vile beast, but that happens while foraging, too (and i don't have any other means to find food and www as now, obviously). Sure, going outside our safe haven (or house, if you prefer) must be impervious, but we have no means of defending beside trying to evade them at all. Well, hunters can die while fighting, but they gain a lot more LP than us, so they can recover their loss quite quickly (and have more lp to begin with). In my opinion, a completely nature/peaceful aligned character should have less chances of being attacked by animals , if not being ignored at all (and they should have very heavy penalities if they try to fight versus animals, of course). Something like Saint Francis of Assisi, or the typical videogame druid, if you prefer.
Well, and animals should have sound effect to begin with, so that we can hear them while approaching. At least aggressive ones.

actually I find the idea that full nature people rarely getting attacked by animals to be very interesting, as long as there is some counter balance to it to make it so people don't go full nature and rape the wild life.

A'ight, my thoughts to this:

Hunting system sucks. We need more low-tier animals (minks!) that nubs can hunt, it took me .5hrs just to get a saw. Territorial claim system and expendable / manageable hunting grounds would rule and make the task of being a hunter more interesting. Lethal bears are OK methinks, not sure about boars, imo they can be avoided just fine. What I miss: pitfall traps, spike traps, (shock traps :lol:), cage traps (for smaller animals) instead of having to exploit the system just to kill animals. Less LP, less danger with using traps.

Mining system I like very much. It undermines big factions' plans of securing all the spots for themselves, which is good. Also, mineholes won't be expended as quickly as they did in W3. Supports, cave-ins and tunneling into an enemy city's mine is an appreciated addition.

More berries? Cool. Minks and wolves would've been cooler. W5, I guess...

That's all I have to say for now. I'll be back when I'm done with my exams.

I'm confused. I got attacked by a boar while foraging. It ko'd me. I lay moribund until it ambled off and I could get up and stomp sulkily away. It damaged me 2/100 hit points. Other people are getting killed by boars??

What am I doing wrong?
