So... maybe I missed it, but I didn't catch wether this means the server is resetting or if this new game pops up alongside this?

I'm assuming the server is resetting, because server space does not grow on trees. I'm also assuming custom clients will no longer work... will the new client code become open?

Unless something has changed, the server for Haven 1.0 should run concurrently to Haven 2.0 until it either dies or becomes completely obsoleted by Haven 2.0. Current custom clients for Haven 1.0 don't have the slightest chance to work with Haven 2.0. =)

Yeah, if they run parallel, I imagine it will transition to 2.0 if it is as good or better for a newbie. The newbies and middies will likely move across post haste because the current 1.0 world is host to a large portion of neckbeard yoloswaggers playing newbie hunt with titans while their faction wars lul.

Honestly, if everyone went back to haven 1, Jorb and Loftar would probobly just shut it down lol (it = haven 1). Cuz they didnt put all this effort into making haven 2 for people to ditch it.
