I like this combat system a bit better than the last one. You have to actively choose between hitting early for a worse chance or hitting latter for a very good hit.

Although I think it could do without combat advantage and instead have a little bit more focus on status effects.

Also moves like jump should be changed to warcry or something else.

Only, in this context, should obviously not be extended to cover all my characters from here on to infinity, including every single encounter I've ever had with anyone, because plenty of people had attacked me -- from random nubs to klaue. So, yes, you are very much reading it out of context. Which, not that it matters, was more or less exactly what I said when I pointed out that we were talking about something completely different. Get a haircut and stop marking words.

I did get a hit on you once! As a reversed way of saying thanks!

^ Currently archery isn't very effective. Its basically completely negated by armour. I imagine that if you hide and sniped a farmer without armour on that you could kill them though.

I was kinda hoping Jorb/Loftar would comment on our re-actions to the new system? the reset is sometime this week I beleive and we were given 2 week to find bugs and give suggetions but i have not seen any replies to the suggestion topics posted recently and nothing really in this thread. Combat bugs have not been addressed either.

jloftorob has had a long conversation with itself about the combat system, in which all player input was duly considered.

Jloftorob sounds like something out of h.p lovecraft.

I'm starting to really like this new
combat system now that i've gotten
some practice with it in.

The way i see it, a full civilization
character can kill someone ,2x or 3x as
strong as him even, by using moves
like, "Call Down The Lightning" and
"Stern Order" as he evades direct
combat with the stronger foe, add
in maybe 1 or 2 people in a party and
you can kill anything, CDTL, Stern, and
even a "To Arms!" from time to time
and while they're killing the last person
you targeted, the next one is at a dis-
advantage and is dead as soon as they
look at him.

However, you're a weaker person in
the group and if they're smart they'll
kill you right away, so it would require
your group to make a Phalanx... you see
where i'm going with this? yeah a bad
cock joke!.. no if you use tactics and
have good fighters this game can require
a leader of your small fighting group, or
2 and you swap leadership as you have
enough coins to target a new person.

Then again i doubt anyone would do that.
