They shut the server down after it crashes, that's a Required step in starting the server back up. They do not Only shut it down to start new worlds...

The Koreans altspam, the Russians DDos, or maybe it is just sunday afternoon. Although I am surprised, the server used to run pretty smooth for quite a long time. What did get changed in the code that there are such bad lags being reported all the time again?

It's Sunday afternoon but the stats say 640 players, which isn't really out of the ordinary - or maybe the load is actually higher, with a constant stream of people thinking 'I know, I will play a game' ... l ... a ... g ... 'or maybe I will go and do something else instead, since I can't even get to the damn smelter without disconnecting'.
(seriously, I have just rubberbanded three times, with much walking on the spot, while trying to go through a doorway. even for my computer, this is not normal.)
