If "lag" is caused by disk array, making backup copies all the time, why don't devs increase backup interval to about hour or once per day? There can't be much data loss in one hour or in one day. This is unbearable to play on. So please do something. It doesn't need to be something big to take much time, but just for god sake take one hour of your precious programming time and fix this issue so we can at least play. As we know for now it is not game fault and also not network fault but problem lies on server and RAID disk system. I also bet that there can be some tweaks to improve performance of disk array. Just ask about some linux geeks.

So ... Stop playing and wait for the Rain to pass by. Problem solved!

So please do something.

They are. Some profiling code was added some time ago to the server code. I imagine its for helping to find timing issues.
... Now go tweak yourself in realizing your just a guest to HnH. ...

"Restart in X minutes." :D

Couldn't the backups go faster and save a bitter easier if they shut the server down to do backups once per day?
