*head desk* by reset I meant the server has been restarted to clear the lag - no I am not claiming that the world is being reset.

Simple enough?

You could say "the game is being restarted" and people would think that it means a new world. Some people just have world reset on the brain and won't let it go.

Think of HnH as a AAA MMO like World of Warcraft. When was the last time the servers were completely reset and everyone had to start over from scratch? Oh, that's right.... 7 years ago when it launched. Oh, damn... guess we won't be seeing the world reset any time soon, then. (Yeah, crappy choice for an analogy, but it works.)

painhertz wrote:Really? I missed the poll wherein all forum posters banned together to "Get rid of Painhertz". Rest assured, if that day comes, I will just happily play Haven without posting. The only people I see having an issue are noob kids who have the education of an average tree stump and dislike me pointing out that both themselves, and their retarded threads are exactly that. Retarded.

You have a nice now, ya hear?

I think the forums would be a poorer place without painhertz.

I tend to agree with Tech, I think pain adds just that little bit of reality to the forums as well as the info he provides to others at times. I hope he stays personally.

The reason why this analogy isn't only crappy, but doesn't even work is that fact that WoW kept adding new Servers where people could start over if they so desired :)

No, it's crappy because WoW is a commercially released game that is charging their subscribers a monthly fee. The ultimate goal of HnH, however, is the same: don't reset the servers unless it's completely unavoidable. Anyone that went through the hardware mess last summer can attest to that fact. The game became downright unplayable for me until just before the whole world crashed beyond recovery.

Yea yea, it spiking a bit heavy on occasion. But lets wait with complaining about it until its really becomes unplayable. Or else all future 'lagg' complaints are in risk of being ignored. (if there not already of course.)
