Does it? Moving is one thing and I'm not saying you shouldn't be able to do this, but explore what exactly? Walk for hours staring at the same old images of trees and rivers? I honestly don't understand what people mean when they say they love to explore. There is nothing special to find.

If there was something out there other than resource spots or mines, then yeah, go nuts. However there is not, no one is ever exploring. You are always searching for something, and in a big or small world there is no difference to this action other than your chances of finding either a resource spot or mine increase in a small world. Of course this sometimes may only be for a short period.

Either way, this narrow minded view that some people seem to have that you are safe just because you run out to the middle of no-where and hide just doesn't make sense. All it takes is one person to find you and screw you over. Since you're out there in the first place, it's also rather evident you didn't plan on raising any combat skills, at least not right away. Maybe in a smaller world you will wise up and realize that your own protection and the protection of people you are living with is most important. Regardless of location.

I'm not obliged to play like that, nor would i enjoy it. The game is free to all, your opinion does not matter more than anyone else's. So shut it and accept what other peeps got to say.
I want a large world, i want my freedom, i don't want to bump onto other people every minute, i don't want to be obliged to play like a fool, with anxiety over getting the best items the faster so i "pwn joo".
I want a peaceful, laid back style of playing, far away from people like you which are infact more narrow minded than the ones they ironically call narrow minded, hunting, farming, exploring the wilds, gathering my herbies and having a blast my way.

You certainly will not be able to inherit from world 3 characters in world 4.

We need a huge Catnarok scene for the end of World Three.

I'm loving the system messages, I got the same one :o

Anyways, the world is the PERFECT size imho. Speaking as one of the players who likes to go off on their own and build a village AWAY from cities and other people, it's great. I don't want the new map to look like Best Buy on Black Friday. Noooo thank you
Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end, so thank you for reminding me to sin with a grin; I won't be taking prisoners and I won't be taking shit.
"Closing Time" - Semisonic
"Sin With A Grin" - Shinedown
"Take No Prisoners" - Megadeth

man guys i tell you it sure is great to hear all these opinions regarding the size of world three from recent join dates!! but guess what people who actually have a fucking clue think about it:

spectacle wrote:I second the call for a somewhat smaller world. I think I met more players in the wild during the first month of play than all the time since, even with a larger player base.
Haba wrote:e) The new world needs to be SMALLER.

Hmm, I have to say I enjoy living where no one is but a smaller world is needed for more conflict. But needs to be a bit bigger than the original w3 as ye can all see how big of a cluster fuck the centeral grids are now ..

I agree, that is exactly how I want to play too. When I first started that game I didn't meet a person for over 3 weeks, although I was exploring my surroundings quite often. And even after I met somebody for the first time, they weren't many people around and I quite liked it. The second person I met stole things from me, so you can imagine after that I wasn't to fond of meeting other players.
So please let this world be big enough to not bump into people all the time.

And get on with that wipe, it's boring sitting around waiting for it to happen. :D

I want a smaller world too, but it should still be large enough to avoid having ye olde RoB blight all over the world.
