I used to leave my base for 2-3 IRL days
at a time to explore with nothing but a
boat (and a table in it for top keks).

It was great to see all the different areas
full of dead villages or soon to be

Around the end of W3 I joined a world caravan as a hunter/cook. Was the most fun I had in the game, every day was something new, and we made some pretty decent trades - got a delicious q303 sling back when that mattered. Even got kidnapped by AD once when they stole the wagon I was logged off in. 10/10 would recommend.

So some time ago you said you want the game to go more in a "qualitative, not quantitative" way. Do you feel like new Haven&Hearth is indeed more qualitative than quantitative when it comes to gameplay?

A traveler's life looks appealing, but there is nothing in this game that could make it interesting.
Traveling to find what? to discover what ?
All the landscapes are the same, no beautiful place, monuments to visite or look for.
All the animals, curios, etc are the same as the one you find near your home.
Meeting people ? You could meet them in forum and visite them with an alt, or just create an alt to wander and find some out of bordomness.
If there is not things like gold nugets spawning randomly in the world you could search and trade or anything like that, there will not be more travelers in H&H2 than there was in H&H1.

That really isn't something you can claim with such certainty. We have very little idea on what we will be able to find when out exploring, what all of the different biomes will be, if there will be any pre-generated landmarks, so I think we will just have to wait and see how it goes.

There are some beautifully laid out villages, wonderful brick-art, the statues that are placed in the world and what exactly is the Ring of Brodgar (stones) if it isn't a monument? Lol.

Also you never know what you will find when out exploring, I found these;

You describe a hobby, not a sustainable way of life, and this hobby is more interesting in an old map like H&H1.

An idear : Treasure hunter, a meaningfull way of life by findind very over powering curios only in the wilderness, you could trade like pearls.
To make the traveler's life an enough rewarding option, almost as sustainable as the sedentary way of life.

Rare curios alwready exists, but you can find them more efficiently with a sedentary base, as you look around foraging and hunting.
The treasure I think of have to spawn only in real wilderness.

Mechanics :
You know as you wander, landscape "spawn" in front of you as squares.
Suppose there is 5000x5000 of those squares in the whole map.
Make a 5000x5000 table in the server, filled with "50" as value.
Make a tiker: at each tic, all all the values in the table increase by 1, untill 100.
Each time a toon discovers a square, the value of the table decrease by 1.
If the value of the square in the tab is 99, a treasure will spawn in the square.

Could be wales in rivers, super shocked frog in swamp, this running tree feary you could kill for valuable wood eart, ...

I wasn't describing anything I was disputing the statement I quoted.
Jesus_Smith_Nandez lived the life of a wanderer for awhile, quite successfully, I think.

No meant to be offencive, sorry.
May be I didnt understand, but I had the feeling that Jorb have some sorte of hippy way of life dream for the new H&H, like people wandering.
You can wander and meet people around to in World Of Warcraft, but there is no point, its not a part of how the game is desing to be played.
That is the reason of my questions and suggestion.
