He said he have been awake for the last 36 hours, I don't think the server will be back soon.

haha yes let's start it back up before the dev has a chance to test data for corruption THAT WOULD WORK

A normal crash/reboot isn't really subject to file corruption, and I highly doubt that loftar is checking for any sort of corruption every time he hits the reboot button after every single crash.

And I don't believe you do either. I'm sure loftar can come in here and correct me if I'm wrong, but I still don't believe that manual file validation is part of a regular crash/reboot cycle.

server crashes are caused by only a few things. before the server move, the most common problem was it running out of virtual memory, in which case it is quite possible that loftar did not have any check of the data. however, since the move to the new server there are only two possible reasons for a crash: corrupt data or an error in the code/settings of the server. i really shouldn't have to explain further for you to understand that if the server crashed from one of those two, it would have to be fixed before he started it again.

For the record, the last crash was actually not related to the corruption, but to a yet undiscovered bug related to cauldrons. It is fixed now. :)
