Its the force not the sharpness. and longbow > crossbow, unless its a ballista. Google Agincourt.

I hope it doesn't have the same game-play as Salem because i didn't like how Salem is just the same thing for like 3 months. Grinding and grinding. I think HnH v2 shouldn't be free and should be on Steam. It'll help support Seatribe add even more content and get a better paycheck. But even though it isn't free the original HnH is free. Just an idea tho

I'd prefer more arrow types such as bodkin. Long bows too.

really one-sided view as always, ramones.
they already had pictures ready for yew trees, they gave a second thought to crossbows and didnt implement them along with yew trees. there is nothing to be sarcastic about?
or you think they shouldnt have added yew trees at all cause the existence of a new type of tree would harm you? ¦]

A battle where crossbows got their strings soaked by the rain isn't exactly a fair example. And claiming that crossbows had weaker shot is just ridiculous, they had draw weights in hundreds of pounds, you try drawing that with a bow. Their disadvantage against bows was inferior rate of fire.

I checked my extensive log files and it seems yew was only added because Jorb had made the art a long time ago, the original plan was to only allow bows to be made out of yew, but that was forgotten somewhere along the way.

13:38 < loftar> Well, we mainly just wanted to add them because Jorb had drawn them long ago anyway. :)

13:39 < loftar> But yes, we werep planning to make bows craftable inly from Yew boughs, but it seems we forgot that along the way.

Of course, this was not stated publically, but I think J&L won't mind that minor things like these are made public, hopefully I am doing them a favor by informing the public so they'll get less questions about this in the future.

Slightly off on the force but it remains true that a longbow is indeed better. Mostly for speed. I'd have to do more research on draw weight. Also if I'm not mistaken long bows need to be made of a special wood so they don't crack. I forget which though.
