i started 3 days ago, its really fun. the idea of starting form nothing again is a nightmare

i think it should be a standard to reboot it about 48 to 72 hours

No, but every time the server has crashed on the day I mine my first ore, it has been a new world. And that day was today.

I just started for the first time 5 minutes before the crash..... talk about bad timing. These crashes last long on average? Minutes, hours, days? I'd like to know if I should wait on it, or come back tomorrow or something.
