Doesn't matter for me how long it takes to reset it now, but I would like it to happen on around friday or something, cause I can only play during the weekends :D
Hope you have a great day

I agree, not much point in waiting if it's gonna be done. Just shut'er down and ring the bell..lol

Indeed. What is the long wait time for? Is it necessary? They should just do it already...

A bug introduced by some changes that loftar recently made to the saving of characters has caused widespread data corruption in the form of duplicated items and bungled character inventories. After a brief survey of the damage done I have concluded that this world is beyond repair, and cannot by any effort of ours be brought to a satisfactorily unspoilt state. No rollback to an earlier date is possible.

This means:

Sometime within the next 36-48 hours there will be a complete and total wipe of all characters and all maps, and a new world will be generated. Please note that your game accounts will obviously not be deleted .

Due to the short notice we will not be able to introduce any major changes. The changes we do introduce will focus on balancing.

Until reset time the server will run as normal -- bugs and all -- and you should feel free to engage in whatever apocalypse induced madness you feel is appropriate. Or just say your goodbyes to this world.

Our deepest apologies, we hope you will join us in world four.

This is not a drill.

I'd favor a smaller world if there was an alternative type personal claim that animals DID spawn on. Like a nature preserve or something. Really my only fear is a lack of "wilderness" like what happened when they added player cities in SWG (if anyone is familiar.) Honestly I will survive either way, but I just don't want this game to turn into Metropolis & Suburb. If the game is fun I'll be addicted either way, I admit it.

at last it can be new RoB..

I think dev's have great global strategic reason to remove RoB.
But as compromise(bad word by itself) new RoB looks like not bad life-possible decision.

I am sure some people will do this regardless of a small or large world. I am really trying to stress the aspect of my opinion that most people don't seem to get, so I will try again.

Both play styles are equally acceptable, and both should be given a fair shake. But the current world size IS TOO BIG!!!!!!!!

Please just search your mind for a moment, and consider that what I am saying does have some credibility. I am really trying to make the point across that there should be room for BOTH.

A larger world is boring for people like me looking for contact, trade, and possibly battles. And even more so concerning was the current talk all through out World 3 of the removal of Crossroads at some point. I am sure however you were not aware of this, nor does it really affect any hermit play style. Of course it has a large effect on the play style I am more interested in if the world is as big as it is now.

Yeh, I'm hoping these things also, but I can only play during the weekend so I think I don't have much chance of finding a mine :?
Hope you have a great day
