I caught a wind, stuck it in the chimes, went to bed, and woke up to find my windchimes missing... Can anyone tell me what happens to windchimes? Do they ASPLODE?

Yes, if you read the skill description which NO ONE does, it says they shouldn't be kept too long, for they grow powerful. As in, they get too strong and escape.

Ahh! I sit here for ten minutes in the wide open hearth, nothing around, perfectly still.
Nothing.

Then I get up and go eat some apples and JUST AS I LEAVE MY POSITION THREE (3 count 'em THREE) winds come wooshing past where I was. Are they tied to something? What makes them appear?
Surprise.

(For reference, I am currently working on debugging the new account server that I've recently finished, which should eliminate many of the super-lag-spikes)

I hope a swim toggle is on that list. I refuse to get swim until there is a toggle as I really don't want to die, but that means I can't explore all that much.

Wind, while it is improving in QL, slowly damages the chimes it is in over time. Eventually they'll break.

My rough estimate is about 3-4 hours before they thoroughly break, so I'd say check it every so often to make sure.
Then I'm hearing reports of the whole damn thing going nuts and exploding in a violent storm. Maybe what happens if you let it crumble with a high QL wind inside?
