Obviously its NOT THAT BAD (insert sarcasm) that about 300 people are playing...
Also side note, could it be that its not the server, the new OS, etc... but instead the 300+ people playing at once?
This is the first time that I have been on and seen over 150 people playing, so...

just my thought...

I remember 1300-1500 during World 4 with no lag.
I cannot fathom the chaos that must of been....

Also, what dragoon says is true. You may wanna have that checked out.

No more chaotic than anything else. Sure, it wasn't all peace and butterflies like World 3 but it wasn't bad either. You had conflicts, trade, alliances, and everything else you'd expect to see. Villages grew and fell and new major factions made a name for themselves. The worst part of the world, much with any other world, is that it ended. All of our stories, memories, and history were lost. But hey, that's part of the game too and we all took that with stride and moved onto World 5.

Is there any announcements on when the lag will be fixed or how? I'm interested in knowing what's actually wrong, too. o_o

Actually the periodic delay before the debian upgrade was similar to world 4. World 3 ALWAYS had some delay. I recall always facing 0.5 second delay during the time. Imagne the expression on hearthlings when Havn actually had no delay for once.

Oh yeah, a good portion of those 1k+ people in w4 were bots.

Ya I recall something like hundreds of extra accounts being logged into whenever there was a major faction battle between AD and some other group..
Signed,
that guy who did that thing same as the first II

Just reporting in on my experiences so far.

There are still lag spikes, however for the most part, the game is very playable. I just accomplished some tasks without getting too frustrated. Right now the lag isn't terrible at all for me.

Worst comes to worst, I think people can adapt to the lag until something can be done about it.
