Error 404: page not found.

LoL had to state that. 404 pages in topic. Anyway, bummer. Was busy doing a lot of building on my expanded property. 2 Manning this is quit fun. Friend and I have progressed rather quickly, me doing the herbal side of things, him the industry. Haven't been been able to hunt anything besides chickens and rabbits since bringing down a fox is painful. Lack of leather really makes getting a sling difficult, no perception foods makes using a sling difficult (according to what I've read). I tried hand to hand and they really hurt. Combat in this makes little sense to me - someone who has been spoiled in the terms of click and things die. Lets hope that one leech I was using to heal my HHP before the server crashed wont kill me. Lot of work down the toilet, unless there's a new world being started up in which case I am happy for a redo. Lot less junk (stone paths, tree stumps, containers, fences and construction signs) that nobody seems to have used in ages.
Also there has been some serious lag issues. It started out ok when I got newly into the game -yes I was a complete n00b 3 or 4 days back. But as we (friend and I) continued to play the lag just became ludicrous. Running from ants only to be jumped back into them was not fun. Also took forever to move stuff between inventories.
Besides those tiffs I am thoroughly enjoying this game. Hell, this sounds like a better version than Salem which I only heard recently is being made by same people who made this XD I've known of Salem way back on an mmo site that had scarce description of what the game would be like, no pictures or any detail. Looked promising up until the beta reports. But this isn't the place to spam about Salem.
Looking forward to seeing what else is capable of being done in H&H.
Oh yeah... and there needs to be a way to delete characters. I have 4 or so made who I didn't like how I progressed with them. And one has a hearth fire inside a claimed land I already own with another character and I can not destroy it (the hearth fire). I would really like to have the name of my original character on my now-main character (the only one I play). So many things you find out after starting to play... Actually 1 character per account would be better (if you could delete the character if you don't like them).
Any chance on making this a network game only so I can play this with just a few selective friends offline? I'd buy it too.

Would depend on how many people would join me. I enjoyed playing sims 2 which is solo only. Had hell of a fun time making and designing things. Pretty much doing the same here since there are no active neighbours near me. I mind as well be playing offline version of this which removes most of the lag issues concerning server population. World also wont be littered with ugly junk. I could almost say the game is dead since I have no met a single person other than my friend who is co-working with me to build up a nice little place. If there were people here who aren't thieving murderers and enjoy discovering, building, crafting from scratch who would not mind another able hand or two I'd be happy to lend a hand in building an impressive safe settlement. I really love the forestry side of things - herding, farming, tree planting and landscaping. Sure more is better, but as I said for the 2 of us (friend and self) the lag and server crashes and online usage is just pointless. :P

Harsh much? This game is pretty much Harvest Moon as I have played now for several days straight. Where does it say I have to play any other way by the creators than I have been?
I was referring to Sims 2, not any of the spin off adventures they made. My comparison was there to say: I like in depth creation. The bonus I here really like as well as keeping myself alive (food, shelter, clothing) from the wilds which matches my preference as what a survival game should/must have. Playing co-operatively is also a huge aspect I enjoy.

There is no game out there that has all of the following:
*Diverse crafting and building
*Terraforming
*Building where you want and have them all interactive / useful
*Many items to make and find that all are useful.
*Farming, foresting, fishing, taming, herding, mining (with actual mines you dig that create paths),
cooking, exploring, hunting and gathering
*Levelling
*Requiring shelter and food to live
*Day/night cycles
*Permanent death - although H&H isn't true perma death game; you don't come back as complete new
character as if having just started the game, but its still good since pvp is enabled. Try Terraria
on Hardcore with no mods. That game is awesome by 2d and a platformer.

OK OK so there's minecraft with limited official things you can make, a lot only used for decoration which is pointless in of itself and Terraria which is a far superior version of minecraft, 2d and platformer. But neither fit the true survival format feel and are too simplified.
Minecraft has very freeform build whatever with blocks feel. It then comes down to learning to use redstone for bigger better projects. Leveling has no point beyond enchanting. I dont use mods since game updates render them unsuable and do wierd things to your saves if you use them.
Terraria feels like: explore, get through build content quickly to fight the interesting bosses it has. It's focus is on fighting, equipping for fighting and making other gear to help you survive fights -that's I feel about it. You could box yourself in and never need to worry about starving to death.

If I want to play army men I'd go play settlers, lord of realms, age of wonders, civilization, or even age of empires. This game has hardly the population to create large enough numbers to field proper war... only crummy little skirmishes which again I could do playing any number of other games which do it better. Hell I have yet to see a decent town built and active to be even closely regarded worth of being online only. But I'm playing online since there is no other availability of this game.
