I never used bots (not because I dont like them, but because Idk how to, I dont care about them) but I do like to be able to have nice stuff and I want to have the chance of working to have it, I would really hate to be left behind by botters and not have any chance to develop like them because we loose the sinergy of our team.

If person can't spawn near their existing character how they can have bots?

As long as there's a good way for that to be used that isn't a threat to having one in or next to a village that's actually a good concept. If it's made from mats that you can't get too early game then it still has the starter effect that JLo want of random spawns and diversity etc, but allows villagers to recruit new characters with a bit more ease, and means that if your hearthfire is destroyed and then you die, you don't have to wilderness spawn and then have to potentially walk the entire distance of the world (assuming village port is gone, which it sounds like it is)

P.S looking forward to hunting you in the new world Pop <3

I like the spawn in wilderness and find a new crew thing. That is what permadeath is all about! If you can start a new character in the same village with the same friends then death only becomes an experience/stat penalty.

I think it brings you back to the spirit of the game, it's spawn alone in the wilderness and learn to survive, not spawn with a bunch of friends and and play set up house. I know that's harsh on a lot of you who are used to starting each world together and building up together, which is lovely, ofc, but don't you like the idea of a bit more of a challenge?

It's exciting! You'll have to depend on your own wits to survive initially and it's not like you aren't still developing your char, albeit slower. You only have to make temporary bases, not massive great big settlements, or, muck in with those around. Who knows what new friends or enemies you'll make along the way, it opens us all up more.
The map doesn't take long to appear and then whoever has found the best spot, the others migrate towards them, still learning and developing as you go. It's not like the one with the best spot is going to have got everything all set up and sorted on their own, well unless it's Xcom, lol, so you'll still be setting up the village together. It's going to be fun, I think you'll enjoy it more than you realize.

Though seeing as you all hate it, chances are it will get changed -

That's the IDEA, "go hard or go home", but really it's very hard NOT to survive in this game, to kill yourself you need to BUY skills. Playing alone is not hardcore mode survival, it's just boring "forage curios, eat curios" grinding, especially because your base would be temporary, so all you can do is forage really, or maybe set up a small quality grinding farm.
In any case I think this "no hearth spawning" is absolute shit.

Yeah, well most of you do, but maybe you'll rediscover area's of the game that you find you enjoy, maybe you won't, but, more importantly, I've just realised that while you are all wandering about trying to find each other, I have a real chance of being the first player with a b/wall - yay! :D

Main char can be botted 24/7 too, I have seen it already. There are lots of programming skilled people with home internet access in H&H that leave their game running all night long.

I have a regular life that allows me to play 3 or 4 hours each day and maybe on weekends 6 or 7 hours at the most and this considering my hand ends up in pain. Maybe on holidays some more time, but I have to stop when my eyes get dry or they really hurt.
I strongly believe that is hard to dedicate more than this amount of time to play even being a no lifer.

Hi Amanda :D

I think hermits will be left behind in getting resurces and developing Q just as it is now, because botters will get their stuff quicker than non-botters.

Getting friends (and alts) to your base shouldn't be a problem in an older world, provided people actually bother building expansive road networks (I'm betting they will). That is, of course, if any character can use roads to travel any distance, with lower statted people just needing more frequent breaks (for food and drink or whatever will restore travel weariness).

I am realizing now that if the GPS system is put on place early in the game, by this programming skilled players, they will have a much easier and quicker way to meet their different alts than regular players.
How much time will take them to find the fixed points?, Idk.

If this new spawning system gets to be placed I wish there are not accessable fixed points or that we get some alternative at the start so that we can meet early in the game and do not get neccessarily left behind.

I was under the impression that this was a more german setting. The Alps are about as close to that as England is
