@Kaios which city you're at in W3?

That would be awesome. We need to know if the game engine would support it though, because it is 2D. If boats can get through under the bridge then they should be able to be on the same tile as a player who is standing on the bridge at the same time. I'm not a programmer, but I suppose it may be troublesome (usually two things on the same place gets the player stuck).

Its possible, just make bridges count as water tiles/no object, like your own hf does right now.
Passing through other persons might be more troublesome, but meh, it can probably be done.

Please add wind mills and barns while youre busy
and maybe a new kind of stack place for straw
new wool items like wool cloths made out of yarn and than make pants caps and shirts with them maybe socks
this would make world 4 better

Im sure it takes their computer 36-48 hours to generate a new world.

So just be patient and let them do their work. They dont tell you how to live your life.

I don't know, that's just too long. Someone on IRC said it took them less than 5 hours to generate W3. I'm pretty sure that they did this either to give players some time to organize themselves or they are working on ideas for the new world.

The 5 hours mentioned was the downtime for the transition, nobody but Jorb/Loftar can give us the amount of time it took to generate/check the world before they brought the server down to change it over. They're also implementing some changes, which presumably they're wanting to test before they start off a whole new world.

If this seems too long for anyone still, too bad, you're just impatient/ignorant.

A bug introduced by some changes that loftar recently made to the saving of characters has caused widespread data corruption in the form of duplicated items and bungled character inventories. After a brief survey of the damage done I have concluded that this world is beyond repair, and cannot by any effort of ours be brought to a satisfactorily unspoilt state. No rollback to an earlier date is possible.

This means:

Sometime within the next 36-48 hours there will be a complete and total wipe of all characters and all maps, and a new world will be generated. Please note that your game accounts will obviously not be deleted .

Due to the short notice we will not be able to introduce any major changes. The changes we do introduce will focus on balancing.

Until reset time the server will run as normal -- bugs and all -- and you should feel free to engage in whatever apocalypse induced madness you feel is appropriate. Or just say your goodbyes to this world.

Our deepest apologies, we hope you will join us in world four.

This is not a drill.

Bridges must be very rare. If not sooner, or later bridges will be anywere.

Oh that's right, I suppose I didn't pay much attention to what he said. Well, there's nothing we can do but wait then.

But making th world smaller isn't the solution I think...
I think that would just make even more people even more angry :?

I am merely speculating from what I have read on the forums before, I don't know this for sure or if it would be happening now, which I doubt.

Bridges have of course been suggested before, but the current problem with those I think is there would be no way at this time to make them so you can go under on a river, but walk over from land.
