You can get that in little more than 5 days with q20 flotsams alone. But the world is big, and even if it takes me much longer to get good survival, i believe i can still find some good node.

my point is though people wont have walled nodes within a couple weeks, its going to take some searing to find one and nobody is going to either put 5 days work into each search alt or comb the entire world with a single one for some clay, at some point you're going to have to settle or be left behind

maybe so, but even if they were to go through such trouble it would still take a considerable amount of time

I'm willing to bet people are pali walling up potential nodes on day 1, before they are certain of the peak quality. You can always just abandon the place and move on later if it's a shit node.
