Server issues: New server

Yeah, maybe if they would add a donation bar on the website showing the cost of the server it would encourage more players to donate.

Players shouldn't need something to donate if they feel it's worth donating for.

People always donate for a cause, this would let them know what their money is used for.

i imagine that donations payed for server costs mainly, that and jorbtar's living, now they're slaves to paradox i guess i don't really know, but i really think a lot of you get the wrong idea and think that if jorbtar see that 4 people have donated they'll turn to one another and say, well fuck salem then, we have to fix haven!

It's not gonna happen, hold onto your money and when they're done with salem which is going to be roughly some time between 2013 and the end of all things, only then will they touch haven again, and it won't be the same game, i guarantee you this much

I'm on now but the game is completely unplayable. I see three characters and an orb of light. No matter what I click nothing happens.

That's the char creation room.

You get disconnected automatically if you park your ass afk for too long...

Jeez you're not even out of character creation room and you're already complaining.

What did any of that have to do with the server btw?

It's not so much an issue with the server being old or out of date right now, it's an issue with the I/O code within the server somewhere. If it was an issue with the server being old, loft would have said "Server is old, needs to be upgraded"

Maybe lofty doesn't know yet that he needs new server...

It appears the lag is significantly less, if not gone, when night comes my time (U.S.) Don't know why, I notice during this time the number of players drops off a bit. I suppose this could create less lag?

For me it lags so hard that at times I can barley move. It snaps me backward so much the I have to click on a space to walk to 3 times.

Even my interface windows are horrible slow and unresponsive. I click the 'x' and it takes like 30 seconds for whatever window to close.

I'm not trying to bash the game and I'm not trolling. This is just my experience with the current lag.

Just on the off change it might produce something semi useful.
- Where where you in the HnH world at that time. General location -> SG is fine. (center = [0,0], South and East are positive (+), So most North-West SG would be SG[-2,-2]. ... O yea, [X,Y] -> SG[NS,WE].
