Again, let me iterate. You don't *have* to. Imagine you've got a pclaim that is say, 2 million LP since that's an average claim for a village. Person A wants to raid you. He brings friends, because ramming brick alone is tons of fun. He's naturally gonna divide up the HHP damage between himself, and his 1-209520359 other friends who came in for the raid. Each person only takes let's say, 50 HHP damage at most? Your sign posts are gone, your wall is gone, and now it's time to fight. Defenders vs raiders. They aggro you, 1 more HHP. Did that amount to shit? No. Now 51 HHP is gone. Let's just pretend that they are mid-level raiders, bear capes etc, and have 300 HHP each. Now they are down to 249 HHP. If you are online, that's 2-3 punches depending on the quality of their bronze plate, and if they have soldier's gauntlets and other goodies, per raider. In W6, that would equate to 3-4 punches on a decent stat'd character. One or two Knock His Teeth Out, or them tanking a single movement sting, and it's done, just like in W6. You guys are making mountains out of mole hills. Say the defenders lose or are offline. Now each raider can only carry 248 pieces of loot before he kills himself. With a merch robe, and 2 t-sacks, you can only carry like 56. Say you fill a couple LC's and pop them into a boat. That's still 150 HHP as a raider. It's all over but the cryin.
