I haven't seen anybody thank Jorb and Loftar for the recent server improvements. Has everybody forgotten their manners?

This is the way I see things from the US east coast:
Over the last several months, the lag has gradually gotten worse and worse, almost as if the disk needs defragmenting (I don't know if that can be a problem in Linux). The first fix last week reduced the lag back to the time of the last OS update. Big big help! The second fix this week (I'm only aware of 2 fixes this month) has further improved server performance a great deal. No more failed login attempts, no more unexpected logouts when I try to do something, and very little lag! The game is much much more playable now, despite more than double the number of players on.

I too have been wondering about my ISP, but the HnH server doesn't answer pings, making it hard to tell how much lag is on my side.

I dont use any kind of client other than the one on the main site and I cannot connect. Do I need to do an update or someting?

- Nobody (of the players) knows. (They don't need to know either.)
- Dev's get a automated message about it ... I think ... I hope.
- Server will be back up ... sometime in the future. (could be minutes, hours, sometimes even a day or so.)

Pretty sure they had set up some kind of messaging/SMS service that notifies them, either that or they wake up in the morning "Haven didn't burn down? Cool" scratch their collective butts/armpits/heads, and go about their business.
