Even when the devs themselves step in, people whine and cry about every little thing. There is no appeasing the masses.

If you are hinting burgingham is human you are wrong, you need a soul first to be human.
Early world exploit: Put your hearthfire inside a cave, then hold shift to position a claim right in front of a cave. After 8 hours the claim will be unbreakable. Since your hearthfire is inside the cave, you can still get back inside, and leave, but nobody will be able to enter, effectively making you unraidable for the first 3-7 days. Enjoy

to have a group of mods(burm, potjeh, tex, borca etc etc) that can nuke obvious exploiters and abusers would be a start. remember the illegal vault thread. if that was the case, make it a vote and the if it passes the mods, then J&L would look into it.

but this all has been discussed time and time again. they don't want the help, I really don't know why though.

Because it is their baby, and they want exclusive control over things like that.

Or maybe they just want to have all the fun for themselves.
Of another era.

Burg does retarded shit on the forums, i don't think giving him power in game is a good idea. I'd vote techxknight and borka though ;)

Moderators (who actively play and have a vested interest in the game) having administrative control on the server is a terrible idea and shouldn't even really be discussed. It's bad enough they can associate IPs with user accounts and track in game alts using this information, there's no way I would trust anybody, myself included, with that sort of power. It's literally impossible not to be biased.

If you're gonna have GMs they need to be impartial outside sources, not involved community members.

If i had that power I would be 100% impartial, I would kill everyone i saw with no discrimination whatsoever.

Hate to break it to ya Bubba but you trust Jorb and Loftar with that power. Why are they any different than anyone else?

Because it's their game. They've earned that right. I trust their discretion in these matters. It's counterproductive for them to be anything but unbiased. They don't actively play the game. They don't have a vested interest in the success of one group or the failure of another. Also, if they wanted to cheat then they'd just cheat. They already have that power. They can just make their character invincible. Regular mods don't have this power. The only way they could gain an advantage would be to abuse their powers to punish their rivals.

write a list of rules: "When a mod can delete a Vault"
If the vault isn't in that list, the mod can't delete it.

If the mod do it also when ther's a legal vault, his character will de Deleted, account banned, claim removed and all what he had, vanished.
So be a vault mod will be more a penalty than a power. And that's what it is really.
A due. A penalty. A task.
Not a gift.

"But how can i discover if a mod do wrong?"
All deleted vaults MUST be screened before be wiped and then posted. If you log in and your vault have vanished, check the list.
If it's not there, claim for the right revenge.
