I doubt there will be a wipe. Seeing as how a few that know what's going have said the new systems aren't finished.

Great news!

Watching with baited breath as tonight was my only night to play for a few days.

The maps have been transferred so far, and about half the user accounts have been transferred. The maps do take up more space than the user accounts, but I'm taking this opportunity to convert the accounts from GDBM to Berkeley DB, so that's why they're taking longer.

Once the game data has been transferred, I will disable the forums while transferring their data to the new server.

After that, unless I discover something else that I've forgotten, I'll change the DNS information and start the server back up. For those using custom clients, note that the actual server name will change (sh.seatribe.se will continue to point to Jorb's place), so you'll need to change any command-lines/run.bat/JNLPs that you're using.

As for the minimaps (including the data on any saved Cartography maps), I will transfer them while the game is running on the new server, but since it's so much data, it will take far longer; expect a few days to a week or so before they're all transferred.

Send them to me, I'll temporarily host them all in a zoomable fashion
