Laptop broke, have to play on slower one, and only have time to play 1 hour a week... That's going to be a nice start for me...

I understand your reasoning behind the decision but it really is the worst possible outcome for everyone. At least the game will be playable for those who are new and want to try it out, but I seriously can't see anybody investing any substantial amount of time developing a presence in this world with the fact that it's exactly the same as previous worlds and will surely be wiped again in 8 months when Salem wraps up.

Good luck with everything, and thanks for at least addressing the issue.

You really need to do something about vaults, a ton of people still don't want to play with them being a valid strategy in game. Hell, I know quite a few people who are upset that the wipe is happening just as they are finishing their vault. Sadly world 5 will just be practice for world 6 vaults as people are getting close to perfecting even more irritating designs.

I dont mind..Even if i was working on my Midnight blue cheese and had a cave full with iron and other metals..Full farm with cows,pigs and sheeps..This will be a new fresh restart i and others been w8ting for..:D Still this is in "Alpha" if im not wrong..

Never seen community taking server whipes so happily, but yah it was too overcrowded with ghost villages and as i know it would only stress server more.
and yah now im happy that i joined game 7 hours before crash :D (was dissapointed that i wasnt able to go 2 screens without bumping in to a abandoned village)

I'm a little disappointed we don't get any tastes of the new systems. Also I'm sad, since I just spent most of last week getting my village's brickwall up. But que sera, sera. It will be nice to be in a world that isn't all busted; and hopefully the new database design will make backups more efficient and performance improved! :D

The saving grace here should be that Salem is still quite a ways off from completion, so it's pretty likely that this world will be around for at least 6 months, and likely more. Still, the early-mid game as it currently stands is completely monotonous and I just wonder how much time and effort people are going to be willing to put forth with the horribly boring middle game when they've already done the exact same thing time and time before.
