To be honest WTF?, mankind has incredible bodys and can actually starve for months at a time as loong as they have water.
This is so far in to unrealistic as it can be, if you can go from very hungry to sudden death within a min in to starving? ehm what where you thinking?

infact, very hungry or starving was most probably more of a normal state then beeing well feed as a farmer in the medieval time.

You only take ridiculous damage at 0% starving.

Are you absolutley certen about this? i got the impression the damage started as soon as you entered the starving phase, since Warri died i feel worried tbh. i dont know if he was experimenting a bit to test it and pushed it a bit too far or if it just happend by accident, i have a hard time to imagine Warri would actually go in to 0% starving on purpuse, unless he meant to die offcourse. But i still just dont like the layout of this anyhow, its still unrealistic.

How much damage would you take at 75%, 50% or 25% starving per second ingame then?

Sure you got damage but the gauze would heal it right back up. What I find funny is what loftar chose to fix. Instead of making gauze not work when starving like regular healing he made starving get you killed 1000 times faster and in the process making 50% of the hunger bar redundant and he call it minor changes lol. He made radical game changing character killing alterations (with his extra bugs on top) without warning or a you all get a full hunger bar first so you don't die because I don't think things through.

Possibly he wanted to make sure absolutely everyone who was cheating would die and is laughing his ass off right now?

Make statistics floats rather than integers, and give us the FEPs that we eat. If our FEP bar is 50% CON and 50% PSY, give us 0.5 CON and 0.5 PSY. If it's 10% in each stat, give us 0.1 in each stat. Why has this not been done already? It takes the guesswork out and makes multi-FEP food more useful in the long run - people avoid it like the plague because of the off-chance of getting the wrong FEP when we fill the bar. This change would put FEP-balanced on top of FEP-specific diets.

Seriously, guys, come on.

This. It freaks me out when getting 10 times con in a row from piros

How can you cheat in a game with no rules? I know it's a complicated question but let's hear the answer.

This is alpha. Players are supposed to report any exploitable little dodges. And having reported them to the Dev's they naturally would expect the fix to make their little dodge less practical. Not reporting these things is cheating.

Actually, i always eat while working. Even while farming, i have always something edible near me. My bar is almost all the time on "full", and sometimes i work in overstuffed to counterbalance the stamina/hunger loss.

Emina wrote:In what way was it exploitable? you still needed to eat at the starving point since you slowley took damage and could not heal during the starving phase. One also needed to eat more to even fill it up so its not like you where avoiding the amount of food needed, nor avoid a certen death if you ignored it for too loong, basically it was never a phase you wanted to be in, so how was it exploitable?

Gauze, you couldn't die while wearing one. So you didn't need to eat at all. Now I hear there are bad, bad persons out there using macros. With a gauze on you could go on holidays and leave your computer running for 24/7...

hmm i see what you mean... there gotta be some other way to avoid it, hmm but on the other hand if it only sets in at the end of the starving bar 0%, its not a problem! You are suppose to die at the end of the starving bar. I might have gotten the wrong impression about how the new feature works from start, thaught the damge would set in as soon as you would hit the start of the starving bar.

I guess i was to fast in my assumption.

The bug was reported about a week ago. However - nobody expected, nor was it intended, that chars would die in mere seconds.

In this new bold world, I find myself constantly starving. Even though I farm a massive plot of land and bake multiple ovens full of food, by the time I am done with the farming and cooking, I am back to starving.
